On May 25, 2019, security researcher named Jeremiah Fowler found a mysterious Chinese database that exposed the records of about 42 million users. Some of the dating apps are:
- Cougardating (Dating app for meeting cougars and spirited young men :according to the site)
- Christiansfinder (an app for christian singles to find ideal match online)
- Mingler (interracial dating app)
- Fwbs (Friends with benefits)
- “TS” I can only speculate the it is an app called “TS” that is a Transsexual Dating App
There are other dating apps mentioned on Jeremiah Fowler's website, and there is far more information to read with links for you to investigate further.
IMPORTANT: As of this writing, the database is not password protected, which means anyone can read it. The IP addresses, user account names (not real names) and ages are exposed. If someone uses the same account name on multiple dating platforms, it is very easy to locate that person with the IP address and other identifiable information that has been exposed.
